Chemische behandeling tegen verontreiniging van internationale cargo's
Fumigatie is het proces waarbij containers die gebruikt worden in internationaal transport (van bijvoorbeeld rijst, cacao, boomstammen etc.) behandeld worden met chemische bestrijdingsmiddelen tegen schadelijke schimmels en ongedierte.
In het kader van een nog efficiëntere dienstverlening installeerde S’Jegers een eigen fumigatiezone voor ontgassing en begassing – gesitueerd in de vestiging te Kallo (Sint-Jansweg, kaai 1555), waar trouwens ook containers gestockeerd worden en zich een tankinstallatie voor de eigen vloot bevindt.
